Less than two years since their vision started to take shape, PerkulMade is having their first pop up store experience this July. They are all about inclusive creativity and a constructive rebellion against the societal conforms that fashion has largely followed until now. Very proud of the crew - mad love PerkulMade!Danté Comitis Florian Perkul Danylo Kozak Philip Deurloo

Episode 11 of Bad Ass Beautiful Brave : Brave Inclusion with Axelle Ahanhanzo.Axelle , the founder of LAUDACE is our next bad ass guest. Laudace is a business that isinnovating ED&I* at the intersection. At LAUDACE, they are not just another ED&I management consultancy; they are architects of bold change, champions of equity, and advocates for an inclusive revolution. Their mission is clear: to accelerate the psychological safety, inclusion, well-being and sense of belonging of historically marginalized individuals in the workplace. I first came across Axelle at the Momentum Fast Track accelerator for Female Entrepreneurs and then met again soon after at another conference. It seems the open conversation at that conference sparked something and now we find ourselves here.Join us to hear about how equity needs an intersectional approach in order to create brave change. Link in comments!Thank you so much Axelle for joining us - grateful for you!Produced by Danté Comitis (online interview so sound varies)

What is the bravest thing you have ever done? Here is an example of someone who has been doing the bravest thing for years now. Last night I attended the first Womanship. event at Equals in Amsterdam : the event was focussed on wellness professionals delivering services that support women. That's not my skillset but I am a fierce supporter of the founder Nicolette Lazarus and that is why I was there. This is the beginning of something amazing I am sure!If you are a wellness professional that supports women, keep in mind we are talking about anything from divorce, to menopause to finances, make sure to connect with Womanship!Well done Nicolette! ♥

🐺 'What is the bravest thing you have ever done?' 🐺 This is the first question I ask guests on my podcast, Bad Ass Beautiful Brave and every response so far has been brave, bare and vulnerable. For us to truly make great change, within ourselves and in the world around us, we need to lean into uncomfortable things and I am extremely grateful for the experiences I am sharing with each of my guests. 🎙 Podcasts abound but I think what is being created on Bad Ass Beautiful Brave is magical : even if just for me and those that join the conversation, give it a listen and let me know if you agree. 💛 Especially to this latest episode with Ashley Usiskin from The Gift of Help, honestly such a beautiful, brave conversation (link in comments)BRAVE Amsterdam

A Harvard Business Review article from August of last year called ‘Why it’s so hard to ask for help’ by Manfred Kets de Vries states some primary reasons why we don’t ask for help, and then some pointers in how to get better at it : the barriers are amongst others the fear of vulnerability and even a sense of victimhood. What it recommends is reframing and asking for counsel. That is where my guest Ashley Usiskin comes in. On the website for his organisation it reads:IMAGINE A WORLD …… where everyone was comfortable and proficient at seeking, accepting and offering help.A world where we can radically enhance not only our own livelihoods but that of those around us.Boost our motivation, potential and creativity. And our sense of connection and compassion for ourselves and our community.Well, that is my mission. And the journey to create this change starts here!PS. Brave is as brave does! For those of you who know me, I am hard wired to do the brave thing : not because I am fearless but because I know on the other side of fear is growth. This week I am doing my first TED Talk with the TedXYouth team at AICS. I am talking about bravery of course, and how this is our unlock to a better place for all of us. I hope to share the Youtube link at some point. BRAVE AmsterdamPhoto credit: John Hogg

On Tuesday this week something magical happened. I co-hosted and moderated an amazing SheSays Amsterdam event at Equals. Our theme was 'From Hushed to Heard : Breaking taboos about our sexuality' and it was an evening exploring the future of female sexuality. We stepped beyond the confines of societal norms and how we can enjoy the power of our own desires - from taboo delights of kink without shame, to sex tech secrets and women-friendly p*rn.It is important to be able to have brave conservations about multiple topics that can add value to our lives : it may not be helpful to all but as we discussed on the evening, 'don't yuck someone else's yum'. It was a safe space of learning and sharing, with amazing presentations by Jessica van der Berg 🌻 Jessica Stahl Jennifer Lyon Bell and Sarah Massey 🌈Thank you to everyone who attended and for the warm way the audience received this topic. Thanks to SheSays Amsterdam for the platform and Equals for supporting moments like this. It was a pleasure to share the stage with you Nicolette Lazarus and Kerrie FinchCheck out the businesses related to our presenters if you are curious. https://lnkd.in/ez55-GWThttps://lnkd.in/ecjvHWYCVanillacooldanceHuman.Nature AgencyBRAVE AmsterdamWomanship.
